Temperature dependent solubility

Quick Start

The Ideal and Polymorphs apps don't include activity coefficients or the ability to see values in mg/ml units. This simple app allows you to play with both.

This is part of my series of apps trying to wrestle with the complexities of crystallization.

As explained in the other apps, the equation for the solubility x, in mole fraction, at temperature T and with gas constant R is, including an activity coefficient γ, assumed (wrongly) to be temperature-independent is:

`ln(x/γ)={ΔH_F(1/T_m-1/T)+ΔC_p[T_m/T – ln(T_m/T)-1]}/R`

From the molecular weights of the solute and solvent and the density of the solvent, solubility can be provided as mg/ml for those who prefer such units.
